Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2012 brings you much love, good health and happiness! I had so much fun with the 25 days of Christmas that I decided to take on a photo project for 2012. I’m participating in a project called P52 which is a weekly photo assignment. No themes, just to share a personal photo once a week all year.

This week I’m preparing for a busy weekend that kicks off with a Busy Bag Swap! I got the idea over on Pinterest! Basically a group of moms put together 20 child activities to share with the group. Every mom goes home with 2 of each craft perfect for winter boredom, restaurants, office waits, etc. It should be a lot of fun! This weeks photo is off the craft I created. It is a felt build your own snowman!

December 14th, 2011

Day 13…Sending Cheer Cheerios has a great program called Sending “Cheer” … check it out here! Day 14 Oranges & Cloves There are few smells I adore more than this: It always reminds me of being in my grandmother’s kitchen during Christmas! We are more than half way now! So, who’s done shopping? Yeah, me either!

Watch Me Grow {Baby’s FIrst Year Photographer}

March 17th, 2011

I meant to share this awhile ago! I still have to add his 12 month picture and when I do I will post this larger as it is kind of hard to see at this size. This is a fun project to capture your baby’s growth in their first year. It’s AMAZING how much and [...]

I meant to share this awhile ago! I still have to add his 12 month picture and when I do I will post this larger as it is kind of hard to see at this size. This is a fun project to capture your baby’s growth in their first year. It’s AMAZING how much and how FAST they change! I took a snap of my son each month on his changing table. I put together a scrapbook of the images and these are the pages in the scrapbook.

Valentine’s Day T-Shirt Craft

February 4th, 2011

Apparently they do not make Valentine’s Day clothing for boys or if they do it’s cluttered with a bunch of weird graphics or labeled “Heart Breaker.” The Heart Breaker ones are cute, but I guess I was too late as they didn’t have either of my sons sizes! I wanted something simple for them to [...]

Apparently they do not make Valentine’s Day clothing for boys or if they do it’s cluttered with a bunch of weird graphics or labeled “Heart Breaker.” The Heart Breaker ones are cute, but I guess I was too late as they didn’t have either of my sons sizes! I wanted something simple for them to wear on Valentine’s Day and guess what? I just decided to make what I wanted! It was SO EASY and took all of 5 minutes…seriously!

You will need:
Heavy card stock or cardboard
Scissors
Pencil
Heart shaped cookie cutter or draw your own freehand
Tape
a t-shirt or onesie
red (or other color) fabric paint
a foam brush

I had everything already except the fabric paint!

devoe creativeTrace your cookie cutter or draw the heart shape onto the card stock and cut it out to make your pattern.

devoe creativePlace a piece of cardboard or card stock underneath the shirt in the area you will be painting. Place your heart cut out on the shirt and fasten with tape. Paint in the heart.

Gently remove your heart template and allow to dry for 4 hours. (Read your fabric paint bottle to verify.) That’s it! :)

Isn’t it cute? I’ll share a photo of the boys wearing theirs next week. I hope you try it!
